The Obama family introduced their new puppy “Bo” at the White House today. The six-month-old Portuguese water dog was a gift from Senator Ted Kennedy.
Michelle Obama led Bo out of the White House, and did most of the walking. Daughter Malia took Bo on a run.
Obama had promised his two daughters a puppy during the presidential campaign.
The Obamas are getting ready to welcome a new addition to their family — a Portuguese water dog. “Bo” will make his debut on Tuesday.
President-Elect Barack Obama is currently working to fill positions in his administration. Among them is the Secretary of Agriculture. This Cabinet member has a huge impact on the treatment of animals and the enforcement of animal-related laws.
