Dog snarls up traffic on major highway

There was an unbelievable scene in New York City this morning. A dog wandered onto the major Deegan Expressway in the Bronx during the height of morning rush hour — and created quite a scene.

The highway was shut down while emergency crews tried every which way to corner the pooch and bring him to safety.

Police eventually cornered the German shepherd, who escaped into a nearby neighborhood.

Run(a)way dog!

A dog at Miami International Airport led officials on a slow speed chase on the tarmac this morning. The dog eluded capture for about 30 minutes, while five airport vehicles attempted to round him up.

At around 8 a.m., officials were able to lead the dog off airport property, but they were not able to catch him. Airport traffic was not affected.

Chinook as state dog of NH?

The breed is inquisitive, gentle, and friendly. But most importantly, its entire history is based in the Granite State.

On Christmas Eve, she walked out of the University of Minnesota veterinary center on her own four paws.
