Ravens make comeback in northeast
(NECN) – Four times bigger than crows and maybe that much smarter too, ravens are among the most remarkable birds in the world.
They’ve been observed pretending to store food in places in order to trick other ravens and they’ve proved in experiments that they can figure out puzzles logically.
The good news for us?
Ravens are making a comeback in the northeast.
They’re expanding their range here in Massachusetts, and may be coming to a neighborhood near you.
Joining the Secret Life of Animals to tell Vicki Croke more about these clever, resourceful and returning neighbors of ours is Tom French of Mass Wildlife.

(NECN) – Do you ever feel a little uncomfortable at a vet hospital when your dog or cat is taken from you and brought to a back room for a procedure like a blood draw?
Do you wish you could curl up next to them in the cage when they have to spend the night?
As more and more human hospitals allow family members to stay with patients through medical procedures and hospitalizations, should we be thinking along the same lines for our pets?
Joining the Secret Life of Animals with more on that issue is our own Dr. Martha Smith of the Animal Rescue League of Boston.

On the Secret Life of Animals, we’re taking a look at some pet gear that may help.
