Show the animals some love this holiday season

Posted By: Allison Sonfist | November 21, 2008 at 12:52 pm

The holidays are right around the corner, and, as you put together those holiday shopping lists, don’t forget about our furry friends! You can show your support of the animal community via the MSPCA-Angell Holiday Tree. Personalized ornaments and gift boxes will display your pet’s picture at the Prudential Center throughout the month of December. The decorations will help less fortunate pets through the MSPCA-Angell Pet Care Assistance Fund.

Join the MSPCA-Angell for the Boston tree-lighting on Thursday, December 4th at 5:30pm. In Springfield, Massachusetts, a tree-lighting ceremony will take place on Thursday, December 11th at 5:00pm at the Eastfield Mall.

Another holiday opportunity to honor the pets in your life–or in someone else’s–can be found through the Animal Rescue League of Boston’s Giving Tree. We have a variety of ornaments which can be personalized with your pet’s name and picture. These ornaments will hang on our Giving Trees located at 10 Chandler Street in the South End throughout out the holiday season. We can even send an attractive card to anyone for whom you make a contribution.

To view the ornaments, visit our website at http://www.arlboston.org/givingtree
or call (617) 426-9170 x615 to have a brochure mailed. On Dec. 6 and 7, you can also visit the Animal Rescue League of Boston’s booth at the Bay Colony Dog Show and pick up your ornament there.
